We traveled without schoolbooks. Jack asked for his readers twice. (First time asking if I had brought them; second time, lamenting that I hadn't brought them). Elazar asked if I brought the booklet we are learning together on the 39 melachos. We haven't done that in weeks or even months. I couldn't have predicted that he would have wanted to do it. Maybe next time I'll pack it just in case. Jack also tried to write and I saw he really didn't know how to form the letters. I'm going to incorporate that into his schoolwork. By that I mean I'm going to stick a notebook and a writing utensil next to his readers, so that if he wants to write, I'll teach him.
